Innovative facility to start in Brahmaputra.

Guwahati/March 29, (Prag News Desk): Assam State Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary announced that a inline facility of water taxis will start from Guwahati City to Guwahati airport.

The service will be of 50 taxis that will reduce the travel time to mere 18 minutes. A jitty is proposed to be developed near the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) from which post arrival, buses of Assam State Transport Cooperation (ASTC) will ensure a comfortable ride to the airport for visitors.

The Central Government had also notified that nine national waterways will be developed in Assam apart from the existing Brahmaputra and Barak national waterways.
