‘Aerotropolis’ to change the face of state aviation industry-states CM
Guwahati/ 2nd May’2017 (Prag News Desk): Deliberating widely upon the upgrading the aviation model of the aviation industry of the state, CM Sarbananda Sonowal proposed “aerotropolis”- a metropolitan subregion.
This multi-model “airport city” will serve as the economical and infrastructural layout benefiting and improving civil aviation and air connectivity in the state.
In a meeting today with the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, 2,000 acres of land is planned to be allocated, strategically times and distanced between the Guwahati city and Brahmaputra river.
Sarbananda Sonowal also assured with the cooperation of the Centre, Assam aviation industry will be a gateway to highly efficient air links including air pave path to South East Asia.
