State made free from illegal encroachment: CM tweets
Guwahati/ 25th May (Prag News Desk): Illegal encroachment has been a recurring problem in Assam, a constant question of fall-out for the BJP led Centre and State. Prefacing the advent of BJP first anniversary in Assam, CM Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted on Thursday that “Delivering on our poll promise, our Govt has made cultural & natural heritage sites of Assam free from illegal encroachment.”
The tweet also featured a self-assessing plate that mentioned that over 10, 964 bighas of land made encroachment free, 6,146 households evicted and over 821 shops and structures removed thus fulfilling the promise of making Assam’s cultural & natural heritage sites free from illegal encroachment.
Incidentally, protecting territorial integrity BJP’s major poll plank was resolving the border infiltration, a vision that documented for Assam aims to restore border demography 2016-2025 and the tweet ensuring a fair starter to the new running year of BJP led government in Assam.
