Guwahati/2nd of June’2017 (Prag News Desk): As a major leap to develop agriculture in Assam, the State government have decided to undertake measures that will culminate the doubling of a farmer’s income into reality by 2021.
Agriculture Minister Atul Bora stated that the government is fighting against nepotism and filtration will continue to run the process effectively. So far officials involved in misappropriation of work and funds have been expelled further-he added.
Bora announced that one lakh shallow tube wells, 10,000 solar pumps and around 400 small rice mills will be set up in the State within next year. He also celebrated the fact that this year had been good for farmers and Rs 150 crore have been fixed to regulate price stabilization so that the farmers do not have to settle at distressed rates.
A meeting will be held on 12th June where experts will brainstorm to make agricultural socio-economic sustenance more lively in the State.
