“Generosity” of marks in AHSEC results.
Guwahati/3rd June’2017 (Prag News Desk): The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) falls in faulty league along SEBA by showing ‘generosity’ of marks in a subject for a candidate who did not even appear in it.
The incident where Arnab Kapil, a student of Cotton College who secured the ninth position in the Science stream of HSSLC examination, announced that he scored 94 marks in the subject Mathematics, despite the fact that he didn’t appear in the examination.
Although, Arnab informed the Council office on May 31, as soon as we got the details of the marks.
Incidentally, the notification issued post the information provided to the Council office, it was wrongly mentioned again that Arnab had secured eighth position in the exam.
As the faults in the scores continues, the student’s position is intact to the earlier ninth position after the correction of marks.
In an another similar faulty pass, Dayita Pushpa Swami of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Silchar has been upgraded to the eighth position in the merit list in the Science stream post correction.
