Rs 25 crore for Bodoland varsity, declares Education Minister
Guwahati/ 3rd June’2017 (Prag News Desk): The State Government has conferred Rs 25 crore for infrastructure development of Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.
The announcement was made by Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told the media that the funds will be released by August and that the construction works of the medical college at Kokrajhar will start soon.
The minister went of a review visit to the Bodoland University and BB Engineering College institutions. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, deputy chief Kampa Borgoyari, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary and BPF MLA Chandan Brahma also accompanied him during his one-day visit.
Sarma also inaugurated a digital library system in the Kamal Kumar Brahma Central Library at Science College, Kokrajhar and later attended a party meeting where the presidents and secretaries of district, the mandal committees of four BTAD districts and the BJP State president Ranjeet Dass who were also present.
