Pakistani separatists killed two naval officers in Baluchistan
Guwahati/ 20th June’2017 (Prag Global Desk): Two naval officers were killed by Pakistani separatists riding motorcycles in the southwestern province of Baluchistan near the site of a major Chinese-funded project.
Abdul Hafeez Baloch, senior police officer says, “Four armed men attacked the vehicle on Monday which carrying food to the naval base situated in the coastal town of Jewani about 80 km in the west of the post city of Gwadar.”
“One officer died on the spot and another being admitted to hospital,” he added.
Baluchistan remains Pakistan poorest province while having rich in minerals and natural gases. Separatists might have targeted Chinese-funded projects, source added.
Islamic militants along with Taliban are operating in the province by sharing borders with Afghanistan and Iran. Islamic State militants killed two Chinese nationals in Quetta, Baluchistan last month.
