High Tripura flood putting 2,000 families homeless

Guwahati/ 22nd June’2017 (Prag News Desk): As per report, over 2,000 families were displaced in Tripura after heavy flood makes them homeless. Several people are suffering in hunger that creates a huge problem these days.

Sadar, Jirania and Mohanpur in West Tripura district and Teliamura in Khowai district where families were displaced. 598 relief camps were opened on Monday provide shelter to homeless who were displaced due to the flood, source added.

The camps will be active throughout the whole day and the disaster officials are giving their best to rescue the suffering homeless.

India Meteorological Department expected for rain in upcoming days. Monsoon is now actively surrounding entire northeastern region including with other eight states.
