Oil tanker carrying 38,000 tons oil clash with cargo ship

Guwahati/ 1st July’2017 (Prag News Desk): An oil tanker clash with cargo ship between France and the UK while moving towards Colombia from Netherlands.

Oil tanker carried 38,000 tons of oil. Both ships are Hong King-flagged and were reported of carrying around 50 crew members at the time.

The collision took place overnight around 20 miles at Dunkirk on the English side of the channel, source added.

Officials said as no injuries were reported. Also added there is no information about oil spill or environmental damage.

The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) sent two patrol boats including two helicopters to the spot. French investigators were on their way.

The oil tanker to be sail to Belgian or Dutch port for repairing while the cargo ship Huayan Endeavor could port in the United Kingdom.
