India claimed victory over Pakistan in World Cup
Guwahati/ 3rd July’2017 (Prag News Desk): India defeated Pakistan by 95 runs in a group match and continued their undefeated streak in the ICC Women’s cricket World Cup tournament on Sunday.
Left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht picked up five wickets and put Pak under pressure.
India finished their batting innings after winning the toss scoring 169 for 9. Pakistan was suppressed by India’s fielding order and able to score at just 74 runs.
India picked up the third consecutive victory in this tournament after defeating the host team England by 35 runs and West Indies by seven wickets.
Indian women team was shining up in the tournament with their excellence performance earning the semi final spots.
Pakistan failed to get going right from the starting in chasing a low-target of 170 runs.
India was top in the list ICC Women’s cricket World Cup tournament. On the other hand, Australia standing on the second position with 6 points. South Africa on the third with 5 points and host team on standing fourth in the tournament with 4 points.
