PMUY in Assam, yet no LPG.
Guwahati/ 4th July’2017 (Prag News Desk): Modi government fail to provide a single LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) scheme in six states of Northeast India.
RTI replies till 8th May 2017, Uttar Pradesh released about 4,337,706 connections around 75 districts under the PMUY.
RTI shared a total of 21.933 million connections had been released in the whole country under PMUY.
Not a single family benefitted from the scheme in the states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim as information through RTI application by news agency IANS.
In BJP ruled states in northeast India Assam and Manipur received 27 LPG connections under the scheme of PMUY.
Assam’s district Baksa, Darrang and Dhemaji receive one connection each and Dibrugarh with two.
Kakching district of Manipur received highest number of connections with 15 connections followed by eight in Thoubal, two in Imphal West and one each in Jiribam and Churachandpur.
