Whaling ship destroyed at Congo, 27 people died.
Guwahati/ 17th July’2017 (Prag News Desk): At least 27 people were killed and 54 were missing after whaling ship destroyed on the Kasai River at Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Officials confirmed about 27 people lost their life and were found sinking in front on Idiofa, source added.
Administration said the victims were on their holiday moving from Dibaya territory to Ilebo before the accident took place at Kasai River.
The Kasai River where the accident took place was used for river transport from Congo River to Djokunpunda.
As the officials said overloading can be the most important reason for frequent ship collapse on river in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
