“Alcohol really improves memory” University of Exeter in Britain
Guwahati/ 28th July’2017 (Prag News Desk): In a study done by the University of Exeter in Britain on more than 80 people,aged between 18 to 53 has claimed if a person drinks alcohol just a few moments after learning something new, the person will be able to remember the information for a longer period than he will remember without having alcohol.
Although the researchers claimed the positive effect of alcohol one’s memory,they haven’t denied its negative effects on memory and physical health of a person.
The researchers explained that alcohol blocks new information enter the brain. Hence,leaving more space for the resources already available in the brain.
According to Celina Morgan,Professor at University of Exeter,after consuming alcohol the area in brain called hippocampus, switches to consolidating memories,transferring short term memory into long term memory.
