Facebook under scanner for brutal video content

Guwahati/ 26th August’2017 (Prag News Desk): The largest leading social media platform Facebook is caught in another controversy. The traffickers and slave traders were broadcasting brutal video in Facebook to extort money from victim’s families. Facebook is accused as they were being very slow in deleting such video footage. In the footage the Libyan gang members threatening the lives of Somali and Ethiopian migrants. Mohammed Abdiker of International Organisation for Migration said the social media giant Facebook is not serious and ignoring the serious matter in stopping the smugglers from using Facebook platform for racketeering. It is not for the first time that social media faced such content-related scandal. Such content were against the human rights. Videos like suicide, murders, terrorism and rapes were going live-streaming in Facebook as they were criticized for not blocking such content.
