Guwahati/18th September’2017 (Prag News Desk): The Indian Railways have reduced sleeping hours by one hour during journey, Railways officials said on Sunday. The railway board will allow the passenger of reserved coaches to sleep between 10pm to 6am as before the permissible time of sleeping was between 9pm and 6am. The decision is made as it will allow other passengers to sit on the seats for the rest of the time. The rules are not made mandatory for the passengers who were sick, persons with disability and pregnant ladies as they can sleep beyond permissible limits, officials said. The provision will be applicable to all reserved coaches with sleeping accommodation. There is another reason for making this activity mandatory because there are multiple passengers in the coach who started sleeping when the train journey starts.
