Guwahati/ 20th September’2017 (Prag News Desk): Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated for country’s third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan by the Board of Control for Cricket in India
It is a proud moment for the cricket fraternity as for this year’s Padma Bhushan the cricket board of the country has decided to send only one name to the prestigious awards and that none other than one of the most successful captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
“Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated by the BCCI for the Padma Bhushan award. It was a unanimous decision by the members. He has been one of the greatest names in contemporary cricket and the most appropriate choice of the Indian cricket board,” BCCI acting president CK Khanna told on Wednesday.
Keeping in mind the credentials of this unconventional Indian captain as the only captain with two world titles i.e 2011 50- over World cup and 2007 World T20 ,BCCI landed to the decision of nominating Dhoni to the prestigious award this year.
