Indian Embassy to Netherlands to honour scarified forces of world war


Guwahati/ 10th November’2017 (Prag News Desk): The Indian Embassy in the Netherlands announced to host a Commonwealth Remembrance Day Service at Westduin Cemetery in Netherlands on Sunday. On this special day The Indian Embassy in the Netherlands will show honour to the Commonwealth forces scarified their life during the First and Second World Wars. This event will be hosted on behalf of the Commonwealth-Netherlands Joint Committee of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Around 163,000 dead were buried in war cemeteries in 60 countries by Commonwealth War Graves Commission. India has played a very significant role in both the World Wars. The Ambassador will read the poem ‘The Gift of India’ written by eminent poet Sarojini Naidu where it will speaks about the Indian soldier’s contribution in World War I.
