Massive earthquake kills 134 people in Iran-Iraq border
Guwahati/ 13th November’2017 (Prag News Desk): At least 134 people were killed and over thousand people were seriously injured as a powerful earthquake hits nears the Iran-Iraq border on Monday. The powerful earthquake struck the area measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale. The massive earthquake took place at Kermanshah province which killed around 130 people. Four other people were killed in Darbandikhan town and Sulaimaniya province in Iraq. The tremors of the quake felt in the nearest countries in Turkey, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon. The rescue officials immediately rush on the spot and started their search operation. Hundred of bodies were recovered from the earthquake zone. Many people received major injuries that were sent to the nearest health center. The health officials say that death toll would rise as many people were seen in critical condition. Over 20 Iranian villages were damaged and the power and water flow have been disrupted.
