National Herald Case: Delhi High Court rejects plea of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
Guwahati/ 13th May’2017 (Prag News Desk): As a major fallout to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi, Delhi High Court on Friday have refused to entertain the plea of Young Indian Pvt Ltd against the Income Tax department notices served on the company.
The Gandhis are accused by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy, who are the main stakeholders in YI. Swamy made major allegations that includes misappropriation of funds of Associated Journals Limited, including vast land holdings and company assets.
Swamy argued that YI bought AJL for 50 lakh taking over the right to recover a loan of Rs 90.25 crore that the company owned to Congress.
Other leaders like Motilal Vora, Oscar Fernandes, Suman Dubey and Sam Pitroda conspired the buy of AJL to make illegal benefits.
The Case: The interest-free loan of 90.25 crore granted to AJL , owner of National Herald Newspaper, established by Jawahar Lal Nehru where the repaying the loan brought YI into the picture that followed with a trail of misappropriated funds and favors.
