Guwahati/ 19th June’2017 (Prag Global Desk): On the mark of third International Day of Yoga nearby 1,000 participants were present in the Netherlands on Sunday marked to be the largest ever yoga event.
Indian Embassy organized the yoga event with the support of The Hague City Council in the Atrium of the City Hall, an iconic building known as the Ice Palace.
Venu Rajamony, India’s Ambassador to the Netherlands welcomed the participants and described Yoga as India’s gift to mankind.
In the yoga event Venu Rajamony added in his speech with the gathering participants about the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Netherlands where he took the step to celebrate the International Day of Yoga three years ago.
Chief Guest of the event, Rabin Baldewsingh a Deputy Mayor of The Hague speaks about the strong and resonating relation between India and the Netherlands. He sought in linking the Indian and the Surinami-Hindustani communities in the Netherlands.
Eminent personality’s like Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, Joris Geeven Netherlands Foreign Ministry, Preety Dhillon Miss India Holland 2017 and Dutch national, Member of Suriname-Hindustani as well as Indian communities are present in the yoga event.
