Guwahati/ 20th June’2017 (Prag News Desk):Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated 80 Tea Garden Mobile Unit on Tuesday.
Speaking on the inaugural ceremony of the Tea Garden Mobile Unit, CM Sonowal stressed on providing quality healthcare services in Tea Garden areas of the State.
He said, ” The scheme reflects Governments’ commitment towards providing quality healthcare services in Tea Garden areas of the State.”
Stressing on development of healthcare facilities in the State, Cabinet Minister Nadda mentioned that the Government of India is committed to provide affordable & equitable health care services to the entire population living in & outside the Tea Garden areas and Tea Garden MMU is a path-breaker.
“Each MMU is equipped with diagnostic & laboratory facilities; will provide primary healthcare services exclusively for the tea garden areas.”-The Minister added.
Also present at the occassion was State Minister of Health and Family Welfare Himanta Biswa Sarma backed the initiative by stating that the state and centre is dedicated to provide affordable medical solutions to the people of Assam and the Tea Garden MMU shall greatly enable affordable healthcare for people, he said.
