Digital Library launched by New Delhi Municipal Council


Guwahati/ 7th July’2017(Prag News Desk): New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched Digital Libraries for the students from the primary level to PhD level on Thursday.

Digital Library will consist of 68 lakh books which will provide a digital platform to book lovers.

68 lakh books will include subjects like literature, mythology, science, research papers and academics at free of cost.

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu launched the digital library which would be accessible on New Delhi Municipal Council website. Its mobile application had made free.

NDMC took the initiative to improve education for students to move ahead with easy way to subscribe.

NDMC provide digital libraries in its schools using e-Granthalaya Integrated Library Management Software from National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The initiative is part of the Smart Classroom initiative under NDMC to digitalized the education system in the educational institutions.

NDMC to setup 444 smart class room in 30 schools including e-learning facilities from class V to XII. It will increase the standard of education.
