Guwahati/ 7th July’2017(Prag News Desk): Dr Satyakam Phukan a general surgeon of Guwahati produced a documentary on the ancient wall runs through the Narakasur Hills of Guwahati.
Dr Phukan and his team adding with different professionals went to the Narakasur Hills to shoot for the film ‘The Great Wall of Guwahati’.
Local resident and employ of private firm guided the visit.
The videos added the beautiful shots of the archaeological remains of the hills.
The main motive in making this film is to generate awareness among the people about the archaeological ruins.
The documentary on the archaeological of the Narakasur Hills will bring new lights on the history of Guwahati.
Dr Mohini Kumar Saikia, archaeologist said the rampart is to protect Guwahati in past days which ran from Chandmari to Garchuk via the Narakasur Hills. At present Rajgarh was a part of that rampart and it was breached at Bhangagarh point but its southern part remained hidden in the Narakasur Hills and other hilly areas of the city.
The documentary is filmed by Dr Phukan which will review the viewer about the past idea of Guwahati city its historic views.
