Six Afghans girl shines at international robotic competition


Guwahati/ 21st July’2017 (Prag News Desk): A team of six Afghan girl won international robotic competition with a courageous achievement.

In the three day competition teenagers from around 150 countries participated.

It was their first ever global challenge event held in Washington DC in a robotic contest which help to encourage the youth to pursue career in science, source added.

The afghan girl’s team clinched silver medal on Tuesday for their nation with brings up a proud celebration for the entire people of the nation.

The six girls were originally from Herat province as they travelled about 800 km from their hometown across dangerous territories to the US embassy situated in Kabul for visa to travel aboard.  

They convinced their worried parents to allow them to move aboard for such international event.

As Afghan is listed among the disturbing countries where terror were practiced by militants quite frequently. As recently in the late May truck bombing kills around 150 people and injured several.

Afghans girl were selected from 150 applicants based on maths and science exams scores.
