NASA invites citizen scientist to participate in science experiment


Guwahati/ 22nd July’2017 (Prag News Desk): World’s largest space agency NASA invites citizen as eclipse viewers around the country to participate in a nationwide science experiment.

The experiment will allow the participant to collect cloud and air temperature data and reporting it via their smart phone.

NASA introduced The Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) programme which will encourage the students and citizen scientists in collecting and analyzing environmental observations.

GLOBE is free and user friendly mobile application which will guide the citizen scientist through data collection.  

On August 21, a total solar eclipse will occur through the entire United States at 10:15 am in Oregon and will leaves US around 2:50 pm in South Caroline.

All North America to experience a partial eclipse whether its cloudy, clear or rainy.

NASA allows the interested participate to download the GLOBE observation app in smartphone and registered as citizen scientist.

Application to instruct the participants automatically about the observation after installing. The observation will be recorded with the interactive map.
