Building collapse in Mumbai, 30 people trapped inside

Guwahati/25th July (Prag News Desk): At least 30 people were trapped inside as a residential building collapse at Ghatkopar in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The incident took place during the morning time. The building is located on LBS Road near Shreyas Cinema in Ghatkopar.

Fourteen fire bridges including the rescue officials were immediately rush in the sport to control the situation.

It was a five storeyed building including the ground floor as people were not at all aware of such kind of damage could take place.

The rescue team immediately rescued nine people as immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.

Rescue officials marked it as a major incident as many who were admitted to the hospital were seriously injured.

Officials said they will investigate the major cause of the building collapse. At least seven were killed and four were seriously injured as a residential building collapse at Ghatkopar in Mumbai on Tuesday.

After the collapse at least 30 people were trapped inside who were recovered by the rescue team.

The rescue team immediately rescued nine people as immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.

The building was constructed in 1982 and declared dilapidated in 2008 as SP Engineering College reported it as dangerous and needed to be vacated or reconstructed.

But it seems to be neglected by the families and no furthers measure were taken.
