“I will push development to the most backward communities”- Ram Nath Kovind
Guwahati/ 25th July’2017 (Prag News Desk): Ram Nath Kovind, 71 years old replaced Pranab Mukherjee as 14th President of India as administered oath by Chief Justice JS Khehar on Tuesday.
Ram Nath Kovind was a former Governor of Bihar and he was nominated by NDA.
He claimed victory last week by defeating his opposition candidate Meira Kumar by 7 lakhs votes in the Electoral College.
He is listed as second Dalit president after K R Narayanan.
Kovind practiced at Delhi High Court and Supreme Court for 16 years and has been a Rajya Sabha MP.
New President Ram Nath Kovind said he will accept the position with humility and responsibility and will carry the forward the legacy of great leaders like Dr Rajendra Prasad.
He also mentioned that he will push development to the most backward communities.
He thanked to teachers who inspires the youth and women who looks after their family and children who are making the country proud.
New president said the 21st century is belongs to India. 21st century India will combine ancient values and traditions with modern ideas and concepts which will lead development in every corner of India.
He also stated that people he will fulfill all his duties of the people.
As from the new president were looking with a new rays and hope of development in every corner of the nation.
As President Kovind belongs to Dalit, people of Dalit community were looking forward to get a way of hope as they were ignored in many places in background communities like Orissa, Uttar Pradesh etc.
