Guwahati/ 26th July’2017 (Prag News Desk): Indians has got an opportunity to list among the cleanest cities like other European Countries. With Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ,an initiative started by the government for the nation and its people to clean up our very existing environment.
Government set up a goal to build up clean and health nation by the question comes out how much it seems to be possible.
Here, if we talk about Guwahati city which is the hub of Northeast India many people along with government were seen taking actively part in cleanliness drive.
But then, the civic sense of the majority in the city seems lacking with many more seen littering. Sadly, Government didn’t take any possible step in banning down the plastics bags which still used legally in the market thus resulting in man-made deluge during rains in the metro roads.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan cannot reach its perfect goal if we continue littering our own eco-system that includes spitting in the road while travelling in vehicles and throwing plastic bottles in the road.
Many markets were also listed who never kept dustbins in their shop.Cleaning the city is not only a responsible duty for the government citizens are equals responsible to keep the city clean as like home.If all the people of Guwahati city takes individual responsibility in cleaning the city by not throwing any materials in roads and using dustbins which can lead Guwahati towards a new direction.
Still the question comes out how many of us will take the responsibility seriously to make the city more clean than ever?
Voicing against city litter, and with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
