100,000 Indian-Americans affected in Houston flood


Guwahati/ 31th August’2017 (Prag News Desk): Indo-American who was affected by devastating Hurricane Harvey in Houston received safety zone in Texas. Texas neighborhoods were providing help to the people by offering shelter, food and distributing relief aids. The Indian Americans formed volunteer groups to help out the victims and also took help of social media to communicate with the victim family. People were staying at temples and mosques that lost their home in a tremendous disaster. Indian restaurants were providing free food to the victims. Approximately 100,000 Indian-Americans lives were affected by deluge that lives in the Greater Houston Area. Large vehicles and trucks were used which can travel through high waters to rescue trapped people. Cinco Ranch High School, Morton Ranch High School allowed the displaced families to take shelters.
