Guwahati/14th September’2017 (Prag News Desk): At least 22 people were killed due to capsized of boat in Yamuna River at Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The incident took place in the early morning as the boat was filled with overcrowded people. After the incident rescue officials reach and started rescue operation. Bodies were taking out from the river and survivors were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital. The local civilians stated overcrowding is the main reason for capsized of the boat. According to the information around 60 people were in the boat when it capsized. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences over tragic incident and announced to pay of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the dead. The bodies were taken out from the river and started dumping them on the river bank.
