Guwahati/ 20th September’2017 (Prag News Desk): Digitalization has been termed as one of the pillars of a developed India, a vision that is- Digital India. Thus, in a move to deliver “information as a service to the citizens,” Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today launched ‘e-Prastuti’.
“e-Prastuti”, which was initiated in June 2015 is a digital process of standardisation of government websites. The key driver of this process is that Government websites will be updated consistently, secondly the process will be bi-lingual keeping in mind that the limitation of searches because of the language.
There were inconsistent interfaces and thus to do away with these difficulties, a uniform and consistent layout has been developed – e-Prastuti by which the number of websites has now gone up to 203 from 29, representing all 54 departments.
CM Sonowal statd that e-Prastuti is a way towards rendering good governance through digital way transparently to the end users, that is the public. It is a means to achieve a synergised interface between the government and the public and a tool to take governance closer to the people. The process is consistent and will serve as an exhaustive platform for the government to reach out to the people and with the launch of e-Prastuti, the perceived gap between the government and people will now be eliminated and the people would be able to get access to all scheme-related information without any interference.
