EPCA rolls back hike in parking fees, lifts ban on entry of trucks.
Guwahati/ 7th November’2017 (Prag News Desk):Pollution levels in the national capital came down on Thursday morning , for the first time in two weeks.
The Environment Pollution Control Authority (EPCA) undertaken certain measures like the ban on entry of trucks was lifted and construction works in Delhi be withdrawn. The four-time hike in parking fees was also lifted. But the train services were delayed for the prominent air pollution in Delhi. Around 26 trains were delayed, seven rescheduled and six cancelled.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath imposed orders to municipal corporations to ban garbage burning in urban areas, asked them to sprinkle water on roads and implement a ban on crop burning. Besides,the CM also asked the corporations to run an awareness campaign on air pollution till January 15 through radio. Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh directed to use the latest technology of Lucknow to check the feasibility of artificial rain with the help of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
