Guwahati/28th November’2017 (Prag News Desk): Tehreek-e-Labaik, a recently formed ultra-religious party, had blocked main roads into Islamabad for nearly three weeks. Their main campaign has made against blasphemy, demanding Law Minister Hamid’s removal. Meanwhile, police started operation to clear the Islamist protesters, had killed seven people and 200 injured.
on Sunday, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, requested a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqi Abbasi. Subsequently, on the next day, the government surrendered and met most of the Islamists’ demands, including the resignation of Law Minister Zahid Hamid.
Responding to the action, Pakistani Islamists signed an agreement with the government on Monday to end a crippling blockade of roads of Islamabad. On that occasion, some critics of the nation are worried, thinking that the military may be meddling in politics , which is always a concern in a country where the army has repeatedly seized power.
