Guwahati/26th December’2017 (Prag News Desk): Thousands of people got free medical treatment and dental care inside the Downtown Phoenix Convention Center.
The initiative is run under the campaign “Your Best Pathway to Health”, a humanitarian service of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Loma Linda University Health and other donors.
Many patients are provided free checkup and treatment. This event will commence on Wednesday at the Convention Center. Doors open at 7 a.m. both days, and services end at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and at noon on Wednesday. No appointment is necessary to obtain this benefit.
The organization also offers spiritual and counseling services as well as clothing and haircuts.
About 3,300 health-care doctors and volunteers are providing primary care, dental cleaning, heart evaluation, vision tests, physical therapy, women’s health services and immunizations.
Cindy Magan, nurse from Colfax, Calif., brought her three daughters. Her two young teenagers also assisted patients, and the younger one spent the day with other children, who took part in a kids’ program.
She said Christmas is not only about gifts but there’s more to it and expresses that the initiative will surely help those in need.
