25 years of DDLJ: Shah Rukh-Kajol’s statue to be unveiled at London’s ‘Scenes in the Square’

London: Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, which was considered a cult classic and is the longest-running Indian film in theatres, is completing 25 years of its release on Oct 20, 2020.

Now, on the occasion of the silver jubilee of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le jayenge’, a bronze statue of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is set to be unveiled in London. The statue will be put to display at Leicester Square as a part of ‘Scenes in the Square’ movie trail. DDLJ statue will be one of the many cinematic moments which has been immortalised as a bronze statue in that area.

Talking about the same, Mark Williams, the destinationa marketing director of Heart of London Business Alliance told MidDay, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” is one of the most successful Hindi films of all time, and this statue is a fitting tribute to the global popularity of Bollywood.”
