    Haridwar: Corona is showing its worst pandemic phase in India with daily covid cases touching a new high. Amidst this, the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar is witnessing a sky rocketing surge in covid cases with 592 persons testing positive for the contagion in the last 24 hours. Of the total persons tested positive for covid, 22 alone are priests belonging to the Niranjani Akhara.

    Sensation spread across Niranjani Akhara after the news of 22 priests testing positive for the contagion. The chief of the Akhara - Ravindra Puri Maharaj has also tested positive for the covid disease.
