Digital Desk: During a public rally in Maharajganj today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jab at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. He slammed the Opposition parties led by families, claiming that “dynasts” never miss an opportunity to undermine the country’s self-confidence.
“India has now provided over 200 million vaccination doses to its population at no cost. This is India’s strength as a self-sufficient and powerful nation. These ‘parivaarwaadis (family-led political parties)’, on the other hand, do not want India to be powerful. They keep putting up roadblocks. That is why they must be defeated in this election once more,” PM Modi said.
“You must all keep an eye on these ‘family politicians. Because of their dynastic politics, the more we work hard for the development of the districts, the further we are pushed back,” he added.
Further, criticizing his opponents, PM Modi said that while they always looked out for their own interests, the BJP government has tried to help the poor by providing health insurance and electricity.
The political campaign in Maharajganj took place ahead of the sixth phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh. The sixth phase of voting in Maharajganj will take place on March 3.
