New Delhi: The much controversial quarantine row between India and the United Kingdom has finally come to an end. The authorities from the United Kingdom informed on Thursday that Indians who are fully jabbed with the Covishield vaccine or any other vaccine approved by the UK government will not have to quarantine anymore from 11th October.
The British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellies also said this in his recent statement on Thursday. Taking on to twitter, Ellies also thanked the Indian Government for close cooperation over the last one month in order to solve the issue.

Earlier, the United Kingdom had made it mandatory for Indians to go through institutional quarantine for 10 days upon landing in UK. This was applicable to passengers with the Covishield vaccine with a vaccination certificate from India.
In reaction to this, the Indian Government on last Friday reciprocated the same by also making it mandatory for fully vaccinated British nationals arriving in India to undergo a quarantine from October 4.
Meanwhile, there are no official announcements from the Indian side as to when India will now remove its compulsory quarantine rule for British nationals.
