    Flipkart partners with the Adani group, to create 2,500 jobs

    Mumbai: India’s leading e-commerce market place Flipkart has entered into a partnership with Gujarat based business giant Adani group for logistic and data-centre-related business.

    The partnership between Flipkart and Adani Group will witness the setting up of a 5.34 lakh square feet logistics hub in Mumbai and a data centre in Chennai to create 2,500 direct and thousands of indirect jobs.

    “Homegrown e-commerce giant flipkart is our new strategic partner. In the two-prone partnership, AdaniConneX will build their new Tier 4 data centre and Adani Logistic, India’s leader in logistic, will build their 534,000 sqft fulfillment centre. Thousands of new jobs in Mumbai.” tweeted business tycoon Gautam Adani.

    The centre is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2022 and will have the capacity to house 10 million units of seller’ inventory.

    The other prong of the partnership will see flipkart developing its third data centre at the AdaniConnecX Chennai facility as a part of one of the largest private cloud deployment in the country, thereby further strengthening its e-commerce business in India.

    The AdaniConneX data centre is a brand new facility enabling Flipkart to design the data centre to its growing infrastructure needs with significant focus on security and keeping data locally within India.
