    New Delhi: AAP government led by CM Arvind Kejriwal declared a week long lockdown in the national capital to fight the covid surge which is now grappling with a shortage of beds, oxygen cylinders and rise in covid deaths with overcrowded crematoriums and graveyards.

    Amidst this, liquor lovers are already making a beeline in front of liquor and wine shops across Delhi as the National Capital enters a week long lockdown starting from today.

    While shops selling essential items will remain open, liquor shops will remain shut during the lockdown. Following the announcement of the lockdown, people flouting covid protocols rushed to the liquor shops to stock up their ale. In a hilarious video that has gone viral on social media, a woman is seen saying on camera, "I have come here to buy two bottles of liquor. I have been drinking for the last 35 years, and have never had to take any medicines. People who drink are all safe from Covid."
