    Digital Desk: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tested positive for covid-19 on Tuesday. Reportedly, he is suffering from mild symptoms and is under home isolation.

    I have done my RTPCR #COVID19 test in which I have tested Covid positive. I have normal symptoms. I have isolated myself following the guidelines of Covid-19,” CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a tweet.

    He added, “I will do all the upcoming work virtually. Tomorrow, in the program of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Jayanti, I will be virtually involved.

    Madhya Pradesh recorded 1,760 new Covid cases on Monday. With four additional people succumbing to Covid in the last 24 hours, the mortality rate has risen to 10,697. The case positivity rate in MP fell to 2.4 percent on Monday, down from 2.9 percent the day before.

    After 4,555 persons were discharged in MP on Monday, the total recoveries now stand at 10,00,025 people. Bhopal and Indore, the two cities hardest impacted by the coronavirus, reported 372 and 155 cases, respectively, in the last 24 hours.

    So far, 11,24,76,826 vaccine doses have been provided in the state, including 2,46,208 on Monday.

    The following are the Covid figures in MP: Total cases are 10,27,651, new cases are 1,760, deaths are 10,697, recoveries are 10,00,025, active cases are 16,929, and total tests are 2,69,65,219 so far.
