    Malayalam Actor Kottayam Pradeep KR Passes Away At 61
    Digital Desk: Popular Malayalam actor Pradeep KR, also known as Kottayam Pradeep, died at the age of 61 in the wee hours of Thursday. Reportedly, the actor died due to a heart attack at 4.15 am.

    After the news of his death began to circulate, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran took to Twitter and wrote, “Rest in peace, Kottayam Pradeep!” with a picture of the actor.

    Pradeep began his acting career in 2001 with the film Ee Nadu Enale Vare, and is mostly known for comic, supporting, and cameo parts in Malayalam and Tamil films. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a junior artist, performing in non-speaking and uncredited roles.

    As a bystander in crowd scenes or in a non-speaking role, he has appeared in several popular films, including Rajamanikyam and 2 Harihar Nagar. Gautham Vasudev Menon’s hit movie Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, in which he played the role of Trisha Krishnan’s uncle, was his breakout film.

    Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Life of Josutty, Kunjiramayanam, Welcome to Central Jail, Amar Akbar Antony, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan are some of his most popular works. He’s known for his unique way of portraying dialogues.

    Upcoming film Aarattu, starring Mohanlal and directed by B. Unnikrishnan, is Pradeep’s last film in which he appeared.
