    IndiGo Becomes The First Airline to Add Ayodhya to its Domestic Route, Details Inside
    IndiGo would first link Ayodhya to Ahmedabad and Delhi. The airline has not yet released any formal information on the service, but it is anticipated to grow in the future.


    Digital Desk: The biggest budget airline, IndiGo, has been growing its network and introducing new routes throughout the nation. The airline has added the recently constructed Ayodhya airport in Uttar Pradesh to its list of destinations, making it the 86th domestic and 118th total destination in the 6E network.

    Delhi to Ayodhya IndiGo Launches

    According to reports, on December 30 at Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, the maiden aircraft is scheduled to take off from Delhi Airport and land. Interested travellers would thereafter be able to purchase direct tickets for the Delhi-Ayodhya route beginning on January 6, 2024. By taking this action, the airline is now the first to fly on this particular route.

    Here's What the Top Official at IndiGo Says

    Speaking about the news, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm for the recently introduced route. He said that Ayodhya is the 86th domestic destination for IndiGo, and the airline is thrilled to announce the start of operations there. Malhotra further said that additional flights will link Ayodhya with Ahmedabad and Delhi, putting the city on the national aviation map.
     
    In addition, he guaranteed easy access to the city for pilgrims and other visitors at reasonable costs for fliers. Concurrently, Ayodhya Ram Mandir is nearing completion and is prepared to welcome visitors. The official opening date is January 24, 2024.
