Mahindra showcases Battista electric hypercar with special Indian touch
The Battista, with 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque, is the most powerful Italian automobile ever produced.

Digital Desk: Prior to Hyderabad's inaugural Formula E race, an electric hypercar owned by Mahindra made its India debut. On the eve of the race, February 11, Mahindra-owned luxury Italian automaker Automobili Pininfarina unveiled their all-electric hyper GT Pininfarina Battista at the Mahindra Rise pavilion. The Pininfarina Battista displayed in India has a unique rear livery inspired by the Indian flag, including Ashok Chakra on the spoiler. The Italian flag is also displayed at the front of the black hypercar.

For those who don't know, the Pininfarina Battista GT has the world's fastest acceleration. In addition to this, it holds a number of world records. The Battista's special launch control system helps it accelerate faster than Formula 1 cars, with 0-60 mph times of 1.79 seconds, 0-100 km/h completion times of 1.86 seconds, 0-120 mph completion times of 4.49 seconds, and 0-200 km/h obliteration times of just 4.79 seconds. Fast cars like the Battista require powerful braking systems, and official tests have shown that the Battista is the fastest EV in the world at stopping from 100 km/h in under 31 metres.

The Battista, with 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque, is the most powerful Italian automobile ever produced. The super GT costs €2.2 million and has a top speed of 350 km/h. It also has a WLTP range of up to 476 kilometres. Additionally, the Battista offers SUONO PURO, a distinctive soundscape that enhances the driving experience and can be customised using one of five driving modes: Pura, Calma, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere. The Battista has a distinctive personality thanks to these several modes, which modify the experience according to the driver's preferences.

The pure-electric hyper GT from Automobili Pininfarina began production in early 2022 at the Atelier in Cambiano, Italy, and initial deliveries to clients across the world are currently under progress. The Battista is the brand's first electric luxury vehicle. In 2015, Mahindra purchased the Italian design firm Pininfarina. The car bears the name of Battista "Pinin" Farina, who established the Carrozzeria Pininfarina coachbuilding business in 1930.
