The new Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift 2022 has been officially teased ahead of its upcoming Indian debut.
Digital Desk: The C5 Aircross was introduced by French automaker Citroen in India for the first time in April 2021. The company has now publicly hinted at the arrival of the facelifted model of this mid-size SUV on its social media accounts.
In January of this year, the new 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift made its premiere across the globe. Now, it has made it to the Indian borders as well.
The C5 Aircross has undergone a thorough revamp from Citroen, receiving a makeover and a tonne of new amenities. To begin with, the SUV's front fascia has been changed, and the split headlamp arrangement of the pre-lift model has been replaced with a conventional headlamp arrangement.
Additionally, there are new alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers, body cladding, and dual LED DRLs.
The Citroen C5 Aircross has a tonne of new goodies inside its facelift. The SUV has a brand-new dashboard design with a stand-alone 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The C5 Aircross also gains improved AC vents, better seat padding with 15mm more padding, and heating and cooling capabilities.
The C5 Aircross has a variety of powertrain options worldwide, but it is expected to retain its current mechanical design in India.
The 2.0-litre diesel engine that powers the Citroen C5 Aircross made for India currently produces 175 horsepower and 400 Nm of maximum torque. It's paired with 8-speed automatic transmission.
The 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift will face rivals of the new generation like the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, and others when it is launched.
