India is set to implement a safety rating system for passenger vehicles

"Times New Roman";color:#2E2E2E"> Digital Desk: India will implement a safety grading system for
passenger automobiles in the hopes that this will motivate manufacturers to
include cutting-edge safety technologies and improve the "export
worthiness" of vehicles made in India. India will soon implement a safety
rating for the passenger vehicles soon,

    Despite opposition
from certain automakers who claim it will increase vehicle costs, India, which
has some of the world's deadliest roads, has also suggested mandating that all passenger
cars have six air bags. The driver and front passenger must each have an airbag
    according to current regulations.

According to tests evaluating the protection of adult and
kid occupants as well as safety assist technology, the road transport ministry
will rate cars from one to five stars.

In April 2023, the new system is expected to go into action.
