Mumbai: A new condition has built concern and fear among doctors concerning post-covid victims. “Bone death” or “Avascular necrosis” is a situation that is causing fear following the outbreak of mucormycosis or black fungus infection among post covid sufferers.
Around three cases have been scientifically confirmed in Mumbai associated with decaying of bone tissue. These confirmed cases are producing a state of tautness for the coming days.
The usual factors within black fungus and avascular necrosis are steroids determined to help Covid patients.
Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, managed to treat the three young victims who suffered necrosis two months following they were treated for Covid19.
