Digital Desk: Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan said on Sunday that he got injured while shooting his upcoming movie Project K. Big B assured his fans not to worry when posting a health update on his blog. In his most recent blog entry, Bachchan said that while filming the movie, he tore a muscle in his right rib cage and even shattered rib cartilage.
The actor added that the shooting had been postponed and that he had returned to his home in Jalsa, Bombay, after visiting a doctor in Hyderabad. Amitabh described the experience as "terrible" and added that he had been told to stay in bed for several weeks. Bachchan went so far as to say that he has "cancelled, abandoned, and postponed" all of his professional obligations till he is well.
In his blog post, he wrote, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage.. canceled shoot ...did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain. So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs. I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes in rest and generally lying around ..”
He further informed that he won't be seeing his fans at Jalsa. "It shall be difficult or let me say .. I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming..." Bachchan ended the blog on a positive note, "All else is well."
