Digital Desk: Arvind Kejriwal, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived at Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport on Sunday, accompanying Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Following his arrival in Guwahati, Delhi Chief Minister extended an invitation to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit Delhi.

According to CM Kejriwal, "The people of Assam have allowed every political party to serve them for their benefit. Yet, no improvement or modification has been observed. Whoever came to power betrayed and damaged people's confidence."

He contrasted the development in Delhi under the AAP to that in Assam, citing the fact that both governments were created around the same time.

"We worked successfully everywhere we found opportunities, such as in Delhi and Punjab." Now, if we get the chance, we'll work for the benefit and welfare of people," he stated.

"I noticed that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma ji was sending me warnings that when I will come to the state, he will put me in jail and won't allow me to leave," the AAP president asserted.

"Assamese people are extremely friendly and open to visitors. They do not issue threats or warnings to us. CM Sarma should listen to his constituents. I'm inviting him to come to Delhi and stay with me. I'll show him around my house and treat him to a nice lunch. A chief minister should not issue open warnings" He went on to say.

On March 31, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called Kejriwal a "coward" and challenged him to speak out against him outside the House.

CM Sarma told reporters, ''So far, I haven't filed any case. Is there any pending against me in the entire country? I wanted to file a defamation case, but Arvind Kejriwal, like a coward, spoke inside the Assembly. So let him come to Assam on April 2nd and say that there is a case pending against Himanta Biswa Sarma. I will sue him right away.”

"The people of Assam are extremely friendly and open to visitors. They don't provide us with any threats or warnings. CM Sarma should learn from his own people. I'm inviting him to visit me in Delhi. I'll show him around my place and treat him to a nice lunch. Giving away open warnings does not suit a chief minister" He continued.
