Digital Desk: As a part of a nefarious conspiracy in Ladakh, the Chinese army is constructing a massive bridge across the Pangong Lake, reports said. Notably, this will be the second bridge built on the Chinese side of the Pangong Lake, which will be used to transport heavy war vehicles such as tanks and armoured vehicles very close to the Indian border, according to satellite images revealed by Detresfa (Damin Simone), an open-source intelligence organization.
Notably, China is constructing the second bridge at a time when the Ladakh standoff is in its third year.
Reportedly, the first bridge will be used as a service bridge for the construction of the second one. The reports said, quoting defense sources that China is utilising the first bridge to place its cranes and transport other construction equipment.
The new bridge, which is much larger and wider than the old one, is built just next to it. As per the source, China began building the new bridge three weeks ago.
With this, the distance between Khurnak and Rudok has been decreased by 40 to 50 kilometres. Pangong Lake is 135 kilometers long and encircled on all sides by land. This lake stretches all the way from Ladakh to Tibet.
"The Chinese army use the first bridge to station cranes and transport other building equipment. The new bridge, which is located next to it, is larger and wider than the one that was completed in April of this year," sources quoted.
The Chinese army is now constructing a road to link these bridges to its military bases. Through multiple methods, China is attempting to prevent Indian forces from capturing the southern bank of Pangong Lake. On the other hand, India has stated that an attack from China is doubtful, but it will met with full force if it occurs.
